About

Born and raised in New Plymouth, Kathryn moved to Palmerton North in 2019 to study at Massy University.

Kathryn previously worked as an office administrator for several years while raising children, deciding as the youngest was going into their final year of high school to leave full-time employment to complete the Certificate in Health and Wellbeing at WITT before starting the Bachelor of Social Work at Massey.

Kathryn started at Active Plus as a student social worker and rehab coach before graduating with her degree, becoming a registered social worker, to continue working with Active Plus in her current role.

When not pursuing her professional goals, Kathryn enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, exploring the trails and walkways around Manawatu and surrounding regions, and has recently started entering half-marathons again now her weekends are not taken up with academic assignments.
