About

Originally from the Kapiti Coast, Maria completed her registered nurse training in Wellington and has spent most of the last 35+ years working in the disability and rehabilitation sector in the Manawatu.

Maria joined the Active+ Team in 2020 as a Vocational Consultant and Rehabilitation Coach.

In 2021, Maria achieved a Post Graduate Certificate in Rehabilitation at Otago University and holds a full membership with CDANZ (Career Development association of New Zealand).

Maria’s focus the Back to Work Service and her passion is working with people on their vocational goals and outcomes.

When not working at Active+ Maria enjoys spending time with her mokopuna.
