Sports Physio Experts
What is Sports Physiotherapy?
Most people are familiar with the term physiotherapy which uses proven techniques to help restore movement and function to anyone affected by an injury, disability or health condition. What you might not know is that there is a specialised branch of physiotherapy dedicated to dealing with injuries and issues that arise from sporting activities.
Kiwi sporting prowess
It’s fair to say that New Zealand is a nation of sports lovers. Whether you’re a top-level athlete, a weekend warrior, or just a casual stroller, we have a team of Sport Physiotherapists ready to help.
Our goal is simple. Active+ Sports Physiotherapists are committed to providing the best quality treatment and advice to get you back to training and playing as soon as possible.
The Active+ team
At our initial meeting, we will assess your problem, identify the cause and look at what needs to be done. We will then put together a treatment plan to get you back out on the track, pitch, field or court.
Our Sports Physios are trained and experienced in a wide range of treatments. Many of our staff members work with sports teams and individuals of all levels, including national teams, and specialists across several sporting activities.
We run an education programme both internally and externally so that we can keep up to date with the latest treatment techniques and ideas and if there are things you can be doing to help prevent the problem happening again in future, we will make sure you know what it is you need to do.
Some of the common treatment options we provide include:
We also provide a home programme of care to continue your rehab.
As an extensive group, Active+ offers more than sports physiotherapy, so if required, we can call in our associates to help with sports medicine problems. Our team is made up of Dietitians, Medical Doctors and Psychologists.
Don’t hesitate to be in touch with your local branch if you have a problem you want to discuss.
