Mat Pilates

Pilates classes: Taught by physiotherapists, clinical Pilates is progressive exercise training that develops core strength and postural control. Pilates helps your body to feel younger and more energized and improves long-standing back and neck pain. Pilates also enhances sporting performance and develops good postural alignment that feels natural and looks great.

  1. Mat Pilates: One hour of pilates taught in our exercise studio. Exercises are done on the floor and may use equipment such as foam rollers, magic circles and elastic for resistance. Suitable for all levels
  2. Reformer Pilates: A half hour class using Pilates Reformer machines - these can provide extra support while exercising, and allow for introduction of resistance to optimise strength gains. Our reformer classes are run in 6 week blocks. For $100 you will come to 6 consecutive weeks of classes.  Please email us to ask when our next 6 week block starts, and reserve your spot.  mteden@activeplus.co.nz
  3. Small Group Pilates: One hour of pilates using all of the Pilates machines as well as mat work. These classes are individually tailored to your needs, with a maximum of 4 participants to allow for persoanlised prescription and coaching of exercises. These classes are fantastic for recovering from injuries, or working towards specific goals.
  4. Cardio+ Pilates: This popular class includes half an hour of circuit work to improve your cardiovascular fitness, followed by 30 minutes of mat Pilates. Bookings are essential and these classes run by the school term

Other Classes: Taught by physiotherapists, these rehabilitation classes are designed to keep you active and work towards specific goals
