About Active+ Whanganui

Nothing says a small town, with a LARGE heart, like Whanganui. Whanganui is a stone’s throw from Wellington, and oh so close to many exciting places! Whanganui has an awesome community feel, and in Summer has sun and surf in abundance! It has a beautiful river, stunning walkways and is close to the ski fields. You will have endless adventure on your doorstep! Our Whanganui clinic is one of four clinics in the Manawatu / Whanganui region. We are a social and active group!

This role is in a community based clinic, with a rehabilitation gym. Our clinic is a busy clinic, with several clinic based Physiotherapist and a range of IDT clinicians that come and go, working with our clients in the community. We work closely with the Active Plus wider IDT and local health and medical professionals, who all support our clients in and around our community. This clinic has several other senior Physiotherapists on site and awesome administration support.

About the role

We currently have a Physiotherapist role available in our Whanganui clinic.

To be successful you will need:

• Confidence in delivering evidence-based management of musculoskeletal injuries and manual therapy.
• Excellent time and organisational skills and able to structure innovative and client centred approaches for your patients to the highest standards.
• Enjoy a wide range of clients from acute management through the rehabilitation pathway.
• Enjoy working within a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists and Psychologists within our wider Active+ network.
• To be a qualified and NZ Registered Physiotherapist with a current annual practicing certificate.
• Hold a full NZ Drivers Licence.
• Have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.
