About the role

Active+ Warkworth & Snells Beach is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team in Warkworth, Auckland. This is a full-time role where you will play a vital part in helping our clients regain their independence and improve their quality of life, however part time options are available if you are a great fit with our team.

New graduates and experienced therapists are welcome to apply.

What you'll be doing

• ACC rehabilitation contracts and some private Occupational Therapy
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop individualised treatment plans
• Provide occupational therapy interventions to help clients improve their physical, cognitive, and functional abilities
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and achieve client goals
• Educate clients and their families on strategies to manage daily living activities
• Document client progress and maintain detailed case notes
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
• Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing Certificate
• Strong clinical skills in assessment, intervention planning, and outcome measurement
• Excellent time and organisational skills and able to structure innovative and client centered approaches for your patients to the highest standards.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, including with clients who have complex communication needs or challenging behaviours.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Passion for helping others and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care
• Hold a full NZ Drivers Licence.
• Have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.
